Welcome to the East Linton community website.  Whether you live here, are planning to visit for a holiday, or perhaps thinking of living here yourself, this site aims to provide the information you need.

The picturesque burgh of East Linton lies by the banks of the River Tyne, between the Lammermuir Hills and East Lothian’s stunning coastline.  The village lies at the heart of what’s known as the Dunpender area, a collection of rural settlements which includes Whitekirk, Tyninghame, Markle and Whittingehame.  It is an area rich in history and wildlife and is great to explore on foot or bicycle, while being within easy reach of Edinburgh (just 23 miles away) and the A1.

This website is run by Dunpender Community Council, a 12-strong body of local volunteers which works with East Lothian Council (ELC) to promote and support the interests of the area.  If you are a business looking to advertise, or have anything to contribute to this website, then please click on “Contact Us” and let us know.
